HOW IT WORKS

Three steps from failed module to back on the road.

01
SEND US BOTH MODULES
Ship or bring your failed module AND the replacement. Include your VIN. We confirm compatibility and give a firm price.
02
WE CLONE THE DATA
Using bench-level tools, we read the original module's data and write it to the replacement. VIN, security, calibrations — everything.
03
PLUG IN & DRIVE
The cloned module is tested and verified. Install it, turn the key, and everything works — same keys, same settings, no dealer visit.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What is module cloning vs. module programming?
Module programming writes new software and calibrations to a brand-new OEM module, typically requiring dealer-level online access. Cloning is different — we copy the complete data (EEPROM, flash, VIN, security keys) from your original module onto a used replacement. The result is a drop-in module that works exactly like the original without any dealer involvement.
Is module cloning legal?
Yes. Cloning your own module data onto a replacement for the same vehicle (same VIN) is legal. We transfer data to restore functionality — not to alter VIN identity, mileage fraud, or bypass emissions. All work is documented and we keep records of the original and replacement module part numbers.
Which modules can be cloned?
Most automotive modules can be cloned: ECU/PCM/DME (engine), TCM/DSG (transmission), BCM (body control), FEM/BDC/CAS (BMW security), KVM/RFA (Jaguar/Land Rover), SAM/EIS (Mercedes), instrument clusters, HVAC modules, gateway modules, and TIPM (Dodge/RAM). Some newer modules with hardware-bound security may have limitations — contact us with your specific module and we'll confirm.
Do I need to send both the original and replacement module?
Yes. We need both modules — the original (even if failed/dead) to read data from, and the replacement to write data to. In most cases we can read data from partially failed modules. Ship both modules together with your VIN for the fastest turnaround.
What if my original module is completely dead?
Even if the module doesn't power up, we can often still read the EEPROM chip directly using bench-level tools. We desolder and read the memory chip to extract VIN, immobilizer data, and calibrations. In rare cases where the EEPROM chip itself is physically destroyed, cloning may not be possible — but this is uncommon. Send it to us and we'll assess for free.
How much does module cloning cost in Massachusetts?
ECU/PCM cloning starts from $200. Body and security modules (FEM, BCM, KVM) start from $250. Transmission and specialty modules start from $250. Compare that to a dealer charging $800–$2,500 for a brand-new module plus programming. We give firm quotes upfront — no surprises.
